Approved by the Chinese Society of Mechanics, the first "Mechanics Interdisciplinary Frontier Research Forum" is scheduled to be held in Nanjing, the beautiful ancient capital of the Six Dynasties, from April 15th to 17th, 2022. The purpose of this conference is to provide a platform for communication and cooperation for cross-cutting frontier research on mechanics in my country, and to promote the in-depth integration of mechanics and other disciplines.

This conference is jointly sponsored by the Physical Mechanics Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Mechanics, the Mathematical Science Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the Jiangsu Mechanics Society, and is hosted by Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The chairmen of this meeting are Academician Yang Wei of Zhejiang University and Academician Guo Wanlin of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The academicians and experts to attend this meeting are Yang Wei, Hu Haiyan, Fang Daining, Guo Wanlin, Zhou Youhe and Leng Jinsong.

This conference will focus on the intersection of mechanics and the frontiers, and will include the following four themes: Frontiers of Macro and Micro Mechanics, New Frontiers and Applications of Fluid-Solid Intersection, Rigid-Flexible Combination and Its Frontier Science, and the 5th Youth Symposium on Mechanics of Low-Dimensional Materials .

Here, we warmly welcome experts and scholars from all over the country engaged in cross-cutting frontier research in mechanics to attend the conference, and encourage graduate students to participate actively, share the latest research progress, and jointly discuss development opportunities and challenges in related fields.
